A Couple of Precious Metal Clay Pendants Popped In

I'm still into earrings, polymer clay, right now.  I do create Precious metal clay and Bronze clay earrings, but as of the last few weeks,  it's been polymer!  Still, as of my last post, I wonder why hoops, usually silver hoops are worn by about 80% of women and girls.  I have decided hoops are a "go to pair of earrings" because they go with everything.  You can wear them dress up or dress down.  They go with any color and pattern of clothing you wear.  Hoops are very comfortable to wear and lightweight, as well.

This bears hard on a polymer clay artist, who like color and different shapes.  This is somewhat difficult.  There is a market for polymer earrings, but it's sometimes hard to find that customer.

I am sometimes asked to create a custom pair for a local customer, but these are few in my world.  I just need to research and work harder on this issue.  I need to find colors and non-colors AND shapes that appeal.  Here are a few images of the polymer earrings:

Here's a couples of Precious metal clay pendants, I managed to work in:

Jewelry delivered

After a quick and fun week with my family from California and South Carolina,I delivered the new jewelry display and it is in place at the new shop in Gatlinburg. I would like more catchy display props, but I used what I had at the time. I'm looking for more small display props, not necessarily traditional jewelry display props, but interesting pieces to display and use as a prop in a jewelry case. The proprietor wanted, especially the Precious metal clay pieces in a case. I also gave her a chevron polymer clay pendant, but the neck piece was a bit close fitting, so I will adjust the neck piece for her. She was pleased with the display.

Working Away

I am working on a PMC piece to get ready to photograph. I am also working on bracelets in polymer clay. I have beads made in the weave cane which I call ribbon beads. I will post a photo when I get the bracelets finished. I am working on building spring inventory for the two shops my jewelry is in. I feel the economy will call for lower priced pieces this spring and summer. I think people will visit our area--Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

New Pieces

I have been working very hard in Precious metal clay and polymer clay to create new pieces. I have a few photos to share. I have more ideas and sketches than I can ever produce. But it's OK to dream and hope and plan.
